In this demonstration-based workshop, students were introduced to Blue/Green screen theory and practice. Topics covered: theory, screens, lighting considerations, as well as keying software. Blue/Green screen keying and digital compositing techniques were demonstrated using Adobe After Effects.

Join Visual Effects Veterans Greg Nelson of Zydeco FX and John Miralles of the AVE Program for a one of a kind look at applied visual effects green screen workflows utilizing the LSU Shreveport’s digital media green screen stage and the Foundry’s Nuke visual effects compositing software back to back.
Students will go through a real world exercise of lighting in the studio and keying in the classroom as part of this unique workshop. This workshop will be instructive for anyone who has to work on either side of the process as rarely are they shown in this context.
